Oregano is spice shop in the mythological 'Machane Yehuda' market in the center of Jerusalem.
The logo design is based on the Fibonacci number principal, which is a fascinating rule of growth and development in nature.
We shaped it in a form of a color fan to illustrate the variety in the spices world.
For the type we chose a beautiful font which has a clove form.
The whole brand is designed in a warm palette of colors, happy as the joy of cooking using quality and fresh ingredients.
You can call it 'pro-bono' – this is something we initiated because we care.
There's an ancient simbolic custom every year before yom-kippur – called "kaparot" – means – "atonement" – in which people take a rooster or hen, fish or or coins and gives them to charity, thinking – their soul would be the one taken if they wouldn't regret their sins. of course this is only a symbolic custom which would be harmless if it wasn't for the poor animals. Luckily – anyone can perform the "kapparot" without hurting any animal.
The campaign calls everyone with a humorous way – to choose the option of coins – and show a little mercy to those who are weaker than us – especially when asking for mercy from god.
The target audience is the religious communities – and ancient customs like that are very close to their hearts (and our hearts too)
respecting that – the campaign is not accusing in any way – the concept very clean and non violent.
Saying the middle east situation is complicated – would be the understatement of the millenium.
After reading about an organization of of Jewish settlers, who live in Judea and Samaria
for coexistence with Palestinians and believe peace will come from the people of the area,
we decided to donate something too.
This is a pro bono for peace, because Judea and Samaria Jews want peace no less than anyone.
Now when they officially reach out to their neighbors – how will they be answered?
